We built the lounge at The Burgundy.

About the firm

A construction firm built by people who also own the buildings.

Area Man Construction is a subsidiary of Cedarwood Asset Management — the hospitality investment firm behind Sessions Retreat & Hotel and The Burgundy. We started doing construction the way we wished construction had been done for us.

Ten-plus years. Thirty-plus properties across the country. Boutique hotels, residential, mixed-use adaptive reuse, and the historic buildings that get harder the deeper you cut.

We work as the finish-trades and project-management partner under a licensed general contractor of record. We don't compete with GCs — we're who they bring in for the parts that matter.
